New Fashion Accessory

Soooooooo, I'm pretty sure that my new fashion accessory isn't exactly what people would expect. XD

This lovely thing is why I have been silent of here for nearly 3 weeks.

As many of you guys know, I have a cat. I actually have 2. On Aug, 21, in the evening, I was doing laundry and inside the washer was a blanket that weighs around 15 pounds (6.08 kg) when wet. I was moving it from the washer to the dryer and one of my cats thought this was the -perfect- time to try to jump into the dryer.

Being the person I am, I twisted my arm to the side to avoid dropping the blanket on the cat's head. It would have really hurt him and I know it. He ran and I felt a twinge in my shoulder but thought nothing of it. By Aug 24, I could not move my left arm more than half an inch forward or back. I could not lift my arm away from my side.

The pain of everything with my arm had me in tears.

That is when I went to the doctor and found out that I had partially torn my rotator cuff in my left shoulder. For the next 3 weeks, my left arm was deemed "useless" by the doctor. I was given the lovely sling you see above and strict instructions on how to heal so that I didn't lose the movement in my left shoulder. I can now move my arm forward and back. I can even bring my left hand up and touch the top of my head. I can lift my arm out away from my side and even type again.

I'm very excited!!
